About Forrest
Forrest Graves is the founder of JumpinGoat Coffee Roasters, one of the country’s premier mail order and internet purveyors of premium coffees from around the world. Mr. Graves started the company in 2008, after being part of a massive layoff by Hewlett-Packard. Despite the economic recession, Mr. Graves enlisted the assistance of his wife, Debbie, and family members in the new enterprise.
With tiny Cleveland, Ga. as his base, Mr. Graves used his social media skills to create a viral marketing campaign. Under his leadership, JumpinGoat became a thriving internet business, in the face of the worst recession in over 50 years. JumpinGoat currently has customers in every state and many countries as well as a retail outlet in Helen.
Mr. Graves’ marketing efforts positioned the company successfully enough to generate feature stories about JumpinGoat on CNN and the ABC Nightly News, along with appearances in SUCCESS Magazine, Wealth Magazine, Fox Business News, Bloomberg Live, Georgia Magazine, Georgia Trends, and AOL News in addition to countless blogs and radio talk shows.
However, Mr. Graves was not content to remain only a roaster, so he began to help others into the world of coffee through education and training. Committed to giving back to the community, Mr. Graves commonly shares his social media marketing and business knowledge as a frequent guest speaker at colleges and universities and by offering seminars on social media and entrepreneurship. Beyond this, Forrest offers business coaching and business consulting to businesses seeking more success in their given industries along with his expertise in the coffee business.
Prior to business ownership of JumpinGoat Coffee Roasters, Mr. Graves founded a business in 1996 in the computer technology field. IntrerLead was an Internet Technology company focused on educating businesses and helping them operate more efficiently on the Internet. That led to his relationship with Hewlett-Packard, beginning in 2002 as a consultant and expanding into employment as a business development specialist and a HP Ambassador.
